Common concerns

What usually holds people back

Three concerns we hear in almost every first conversation, and how we deal with each one.

I need to keep earning

Most of the courses we recommend are designed for working adults, with part-time and flexible timetables. We shortlist options that fit around your hours and your family.

I'm not sure my qualifications are enough

We review what you already have, including study from abroad or from years ago. If you need a stepping stone, a Foundation year is designed for that, and we'll tell you plainly where you'd start.

I don't know where to start with the forms

We prepare the application, your supporting documents and the Student Finance forms together with you, and follow them up until they're complete. The choices stay yours.

The process

Funding

How Student Finance pays for your course

  • Repayments start only when you earn more than £25,000 a year.
  • We look at your likely eligibility in your first conversation with us.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I pay anything for your help?
No. We're paid by our partner universities when a student enrols, so there's no charge to you at any stage, and no obligation to apply.
Can I study while I work?
Yes. We focus on courses designed for working adults, with timetables and study formats that let you keep your job.
My qualifications are from abroad or from years ago. Can I still apply?
In many cases, yes. Earlier study can still count, and if you need a starting point, a Foundation year is built for that. We review your documents and tell you which level suits you.
How is the course paid for?
Most students use Student Finance England: a tuition fee loan paid directly to the university, and a maintenance loan towards living costs. You start repaying only once you earn over £25,000 a year. Eligibility depends on your circumstances, and we check this with you.
Which universities can I apply to?
Accredited, government-funded universities across the UK. We recommend the ones that match your subject, location and schedule, and explain each option before you choose.
What happens after I get in touch?
One of our advisers calls you for a short chat about your goals and availability. If there's a course that fits, we help you apply. If there isn't, we'll tell you, and you're under no obligation.
